Edo State police commissioner CP Abutu Yaro has created more crack teams and Forward Operational Baes across the three senatorial districts of Edo State.
This is to ensure effective crime bursting strategies and take the battle to kidnappers’ dens, hoodlum enclaves, bandits groves and killer herds alley in the state.
These new teams are strategically located in the following flashpoints: – Edo South Forwarding Operational Base (FOB), Ovia North-East Local Government Area, based at Ekiadolor with hotline number 08036804771; Benin with the following hotline numbers; 08035054365, 07030222478 and 08057357468.

According to a statement by the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bello Kontongs said, “members of the public in-transit in these zones could contact these bases in case of security emergencies, especially kidnap situations, armed robberies or homicidal circumstances.”
The Commissioner of Police promised to continue to work with other sister security agencies and relevant security stakeholders in the state to ensure a crime-free Edo State where economic activities will thrive with socio Cultural engagements.
