Luck has run out of some deadly kidnappers that have been terrorising Edo Central, including the governor’s community, Uromi, as they were apprehended by the Edo State Security Corps in collaboration with a local outfit co-named the Esan Awareness Security.

The seven suspected dreaded kidnappers, including their leader, were said to have been arrested in their hideout based on reliable information as they were planning another operation.

Their end came when, on the second day of June, one of the suspects who claimed to have left the group was apprehended by the personnel of the Edo State security corps who were carrying out their normal patrol at Oghen Road in Uromi, the Administrative headquarters of Esan North East Local Government Area.

However, after constant questioning, the suspect was said to have revealed and taken the security officers to the hideout of the dreaded gang, which later led to their arrest.

The Edo State security corps commander, Richard Balogun, while confirming the arrest, said the seven suspects have since been handed over to the police for further interrogation.

According to the Commander,  Edo State Security Corps, Mr Richard Balogun, who confirmed the arrest, the seven suspects have since been handed over to the police in Irua for further interrogation.
