Edo Security Network Arrests Deadly Kidnapper, Rescues Abducted Girl in Agenebode

Luck has run out for a deadly kidnapper, Sulaiman, as the Edo State Security Network has rescued a 12-year-old girl who was kidnapped at Ayogwiri Community in Etsako West  Local Government Area of the state, and the kidnapper behind the dastardly act has been arrested.

The victim was reportedly abducted while returning from the farm with her mother before being taken through the bush to an area in Agenebode, Etsako East, where she was eventually rescued.

Personnel of the Fugar sector Command reportedly traced the hideout of the kidnappers after intercepting communication between the suspects and the victim’s family.

The kidnappers had allegedly demanded ransom and instructed the victim’s brother to deliver the money to their location.

Acting on intelligence, the security team followed the trail, apprehended one of the suspects, identified as Suleiman, who led them to the gang’s hideout, where the girl had been held for five days.              

During interrogation, the suspect confessed that he was instructed by one of the gang members to carry out the abduction of the young girl.

“Me didn’t know the girl before now it was one of my oga that described her that we should kidnap the small girl to enable us collect money from the parent.”                

Although other members of the gang escaped, the personnel successfully rescued the victim and handed the suspect over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation.
