The Edo State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of the Onojie of Udo kingdom in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State, His Royal Highness, Friday Ehizojie.
The Police Image Maker, SP Moses Yamu, disclosed this during a press conference, saying the Police are working round the clock to ensure that he is released unconditionally and in good health.

On February 2, the news of the abduction of the Onojie of Udo in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State, His Royal Highness Friday Ehizojie, filtered into the air.
Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the Edo State Police Command SP Moses Yamu said, the twenty-one years old traditional ruler was abducted alongside other victims on Sunday evening at a lonely part around the Community, while on a motorcycle he boarded for his journey to a neighbouring Community.
SP. Moses Yamu disclosed that when the Police arrived at the scene of the incident, the lifeless body of a young man who was shot by the abductors was on the ground.
The Police Image Maker said that preliminary Investigations later revealed that the deceased was the rider of the motorcycle conveying the Onojie.
SP Iyamu, however, stated that the Police are doing everything possible to ensure that the traditional ruler is released unconditionally and safely.
