The anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 60 suspected ‘yahoo boys’.

Remember that The Standard Gazette reported a few days ago that the EFCC invaded a popular hotel in Abeokuta, Ogun state, and began shooting randomly in an attempt to apprehend suspected internet fraudsters.

The arrest has now been confirmed by the EFCC.

On Facebook, the anti-corruption agency stated:

During an awards event at the Conference Hotel in Abeokuta, Ogun State, EFCC agents from the Lagos Command detained 60 alleged internet fraudsters.

According to the inquiry, the “Peer Youths Awards” was held to celebrate high-level cyber scammers.

Exotic cars, electrical devices, laptop computers, and mobile phones were among the items recovered from the suspects at the time of the arrest.

The culprits will be charged in court very shortly.
