EFCC storms APC Leader's hotel, as gunshots scare Guests

On Saturday, November 27, agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) allegedly went in search of an internet fraudster to the Conference Hotel owned by Gbenga Daniel, the former governor of Ogun state, causing confusion and terror.

Gunshots were fired by the operatives who assaulted one of the hotel's halls, causing severe concern among participants of a ceremony there.

Steve Oliyide, the previous governor's media aide, said that the report was accurate.

"Around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 28th, 2021, several unknown gunmen suspected to be acting on the orders of one of the anti-graft agencies raided the premises of the lodging facility in Abeokuta in quest of an unknown yahoo youngster," Oliyide stated. Fortunately, our various security forces were able to restore order, and no one was killed."

Agents of the anti-graft body were said to have apprehended some cyber-criminals known as Yahoo boys during the raid. Meanwhile, the agency has yet to acknowledge the development, with the Ibadan and Lagos zonal offices' spokespersons denying knowledge of it.
