The Nigerian Immigration Services (NIS) said it had placed the alleged sponsors of the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protest on its watchlist.
Comptroller-General Kemi Nandap disclosed this on Tuesday at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja.
Nandap disclosed that those individuals in the diaspora would be arrested immediately upon their arrival in Nigeria.

Speaking to journalists, Nandap said, “We have diaspora sponsors on our watchlist. Any attempt they make to enter the country will be detected, and they will be apprehended and handed over to the appropriate authority.”
In a related development, the former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has raised the alarm about an alleged plot to rope him as one of the sponsors of the “End bad governance” protest.
The embattled ex-governor has been on the run over alleged N82 Billion Naira Fraud levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Bello, who has refused to appear before the court despite the court order, has disappeared from the public scene, with several news outlets going around the country about his whereabouts.
He was recently alleged to have been smuggled out of the country by a high-profile figure of President Bola Tinubu in the wake of several attempts to get him arrested over the financial crimes he allegedly committed while in office.
On Tuesday, the former governor, from his hideout, alleged that some people had figured him out as one of the sponsors of the End Bad Governance Protest.
In a statement signed by Ohiare Micheal for his media office, he alleged that some people are accusing him of being the sponsor of the protest.
He called on the federal government to disregard such rumour, which he described as malicious.
Recall that the End Bad Governance Protest, which was held on the 1st of August, generated so much tension across the country, leading to the death of 17 people and the destruction of multi-million properties of public and private concerns.
The youths were protesting hunger and the cost of living in the country.
Several offices were burned down, including a police station and the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC party office in Katsina State.
