Family reports claim that the late Na’Abba fought the illness for a considerable amount of time before passing away.

He once had medical treatment, spending several months overseas before making his way back to Nigeria. Muslims will bury him in Abuja today in accordance with Islamic customs.

Ghali Umar Na’Abba was elected Speaker of the House in 1999, succeeding Salisu Buhari, who was ousted from office disgracefully after the House of Representatives was shaken by the Toronto Certificate scandal.
