The tragedy struck Okpagha Ewuare Eyean in Uhunmwode Local government area of Edo State Quarters on Saturday Evening as the wife of an abroad-based man with four children was allegedly stabbed to death by her former Councillor neighbour over a minor misunderstanding.
The alleged murderer, who is said to have escaped immediately, is identified as Philip Ayo, a former Councillor representing Ugu ward in Igueben Local Government Area.
However, sympathizers were gathered at the scene, confused, while the four children of the dead woman were waiting uncontrollably.

She alleged that Phillip Ugu stabbed her mother during the intense argument, and her mum was bleeding profusely. She, however, said her mother was confirmed dead at the hospital.
An Eyewitness in the area who prefers his name not to be mentioned while confirming the identity of the suspect who has now escaped as Philip Ayo, a former Councillor representing Ugu ward in Igueben Local Government Area, said he was shocked to see the fleeing suspect brutalised the dead woman before stabbing her to death.
The Edo Police Command public relations officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, said the command had not gotten a full brief on the matter.
However, he assured the public that the suspect would be apprehended soon and, if eventually found wanting, would face the consequences of his action.
