The Senegalese government is restricting internet access and trying to shut down media companies who dare amplify or report the situation.

The main opposition leader O. Sonko was initially accused of rape by a woman at a spy by the government of the day led by Macky Sall. Immediately Police officers invaded his premises and his immunity was lifted by the rubber stamp parliament.

Tge Free Senegal Protest is currently ongoing with violence erupting in most parts of the country. African leaders are known to be sit-tight rulers. The ugly trend after colonization ended.
