Governor Okpebholo Orders Immediate Indefinite Suspension Of Traditional Ruler Of Uwano Kingdom, Agenegbode

The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has issued an immediate and indefinite suspension to a traditional  ruler Dr. George Oshiapi Egabor, the Okumagbe of Uwano Kingdom in Agenebode, Estako East Local Government Area over incessant kidnapping and killing in his domain 

The Governor’s directive was contained in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua.

Consequently, according to the statement, his secretary, Chief Peter Omiogbemhi, has since been arrested by the relevant authorities, following a recent incident that led to the death of a Palace Chief, the Late John Ikhamate.

The suspension of the traditional ruler is indefinite.

The move according to the statement is to serve as a deterrent to other traditional rulers to sit up and check mate any unusual security breach and threat in their domain. 

Recently, the increasing rate of kidnapping and killing in Some parts of Edo North has been alarming.
