Nigeria's House of Representatives had a taste of the rot in the power sector as it was forced to adjourn plenary on Tuesday due to a power outage.
Like the slang goes, breakfast was served.

Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House, was forced to announce an adjournment as a result of the power outage.
The lawmakers were all seen scurrying out of the chamber, navigating the total darkness with the help of the flashlights on their phones.
Power outage is not an uncommon phenomenon in Nigeria, a country of over 200 million people, yet can hardly boast of 3,000 MW of electricity.
