Lagos state Police Public Relations Offficer, Benjamin Hundeyin has revealed how fake Doctors obtain little children from villages, bring them to the city and inject them so that their stomachs protude.
The Police spokesperson revealed this while unveiling 4 suspects on his Twitter handle on Saturday.
They do this in order to use them for alms begging in major junctions and highways across the state.
"These men get minors from villages, get a medical doctor to allegedly inject them with substances that make their stomach swell outrageously, and parade them in road traffic as critically sick, to get alms from motorists. Investigation is ongoing."
Many especially those residing in Lagos corroborated Hundeyin saying they always come across such kids on a daily basis.
@dipohub commented, "There is one at Orile she should be about 9years old, I have seen an elderly man came to drop her very early in the morning around 5:30am while I am off to work. And they will play all sort of Christian music. Lord have mercy."
Such kids have also been sighted around Ajao Estate along Chivita road, Jakande Gate Ejigbo, second rainbow near Mile 2, Ojuelegba, Ikotun, Yaba and so on.
The PPRO has therefore advised parents to be careful of they give their wards to.
