Family sources said he complained of breathing difficulty in the morning and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where he died.

Mohammed was born on February 21, 1969, and attended Kotun Memorial Primary School, Surulere, Lagos, and his secondary education at Federal Government College, Sokoto.

Mohammed Fawehinmi was the Head, Mohammed Fawehinmi’s Chambers, Director, Nigerian Law Publications Limited, Director, Books Industries Nigeria Limited, and was in charge of Gani Fawehinmi Library and Gallery Limited.

In 2003, he had an accident in Lagos, which affected his spinal cord and confined him to a wheelchair. Although he managed the law firm of his father, he has been unable to practise law the way his father had hoped. Mohammed was unmarried before his death.
