The Edo State Commissioner of Police, CP Funsho Adegboye, says there has been no loss of life or destruction of property in Edo State so far in the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest.
The Edo state police boss, who stated this in a press briefing in Benin City on Friday, also revealed that two persons were arrested in connection with yesterday’s looting of rice at Urora near Benin City.
The nationwide #EndBadGovernance protest has continued into its second day unabated, despite a series of earlier appeals from the federal government for the planners to shelve the action.

Addressing a press conference In Benin City, the Edo State Commissioner of Police, CP Funsho Adegboye, said the protester’s demands are being conveyed to the appropriate authorities and warned against those who may want to take advantage of the protest to unleash violence or looting of any kind.
The police commissioner said the protest has been peaceful in Edo State.
He advised the protesters to avoid blocking streets or highways and that King Square had been designated for them.
According to CP Adegboye, any unscrupulous elements found carrying out any attack on shops, warehouses or looting in the name of protest will be treated as common criminals.
He cautioned against carrying rumours about unshared government rice.
The Edo State police boss assured that police will do everything possible to protect the lives and property of citizens.
