The Police headquarters has debunked insinuations flying around on social media that Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari has been recalled.
DCP Abba Kyari is on suspension from the Police as a result of investigations that followed his indictment by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the Hushpuppi .

While speaking with a section of the media over the weekend, Commissioner of Police in charge of Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba noted that such insinuations were unfounded and untrue.

A Special Investigations Panel was set up by the Force headquarters led by DIG Joseph Egbunike which has since submitted its report to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, and later transferred to the Police Service Commission (PSC).
However, the final decision on whether to extradite Abba Kyari rests with the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
