Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, a controversial artist, has admitted that he previously received payment to disparage Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s presidential nominee.

The Zazu Zeh actor revealed this in response to criticism he faced for endorsing Tinubu in advance of the 2023 general election.

The APC has now paid Portable to support its candidates, according to Portable, who admitted to once taking money to disparage a politician.

He responded to people who criticized him for backing Tinubu in a new video posted on his Instagram page by saying he was simply carrying out his duty.

“If they pay you money, you have to work. I was once paid to insult Tinubu during the protests. That was a long time ago. Now, APC has said Akoi Tinubu.⁣

“If they pay you, do your job, no ripping. When I was asked to insult Tinubu, I collected my money and did my job. Now Tinubu is the next. They’re the ones that gave me money, and I must do the work for the money I collected. Akoi APC,” he said in Yoruba.
