Buhari addressed the country on Thursday evening addressed the nation following the protests against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit of the Nigerian Police across the country.

The problem started over a week ago after a SARS operative killed a man in Ughelli, Midwestern region of the country, then whisked away with his vehicle.

Buhari's broadcast was to bring succour to the families whose people were massacred on Tuesday evening in Lekki area of Lagos.

The President's speech omitted the killing but warned protesters not to take his understanding for a weakness.

Reacting, Apostle Suleman as he is fondly called described Buhari's speech as "insensitive and useless".

He said, “Never had a more ‘wasted 12mins’ all my life, insensitive and useless speech. Who gave the orders for people to be killed?

“What’re the repercussions of such blatant impunity? nobody was fired for lives wasted?.

“No compensation for victims family? I wish I can “unwatch” it.”
