Following the directive by Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla to rid off the Niger Delta waterways of illegal activities of oil theft, Nigeria Navy FOB Escravos have arrested some suspected pipeline vandals along Escravos Water.
The Navy also impounded six boats loaded with suspected crude oil from the hoodlums.
The suspects were paraded at the NNS Delta waterways alongside the six impounded boats loaded with stolen crude oil used by the hoodlums for their illegal oil theft.

The Commander NNS Delta, Commodore Abdulazeez Zubair, with some top officers of the base during the parade said, “The arrest of the suspected vandals was in line with zero tolerance of the mandate Chief of Naval Staff in securing the Maritime Waterways from illegal oil theft.
The NNS Delta Commander warned criminal elements in the Maritime Waterways to steer clear of the domain, adding that it is not business as usual and called on members of the public to continue their collaboration with the Nigeria Navy for positive results.
