I'm Happy To Be Back Home - Aisha Buhari

The Nigerian first lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari returned home to Nigeria two months after she left for the United Kingdom for holiday two months ago.

The first lady arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja via a British Airways flight at 4.30 a.m this morning.

The wives of some Nigerian governors and some friends received her upon arrival.

Aisha announced her returned to Nigeria via her twitter handle with a photo of her and the wife of the Nigerian ambassador to the United Kingdom at 8:56 pm.

She said in her twitter handle @AishaMBuhari that Mrs Modupe Oguntade was seeing her off.

Responding to journalists' queries, Mrs Buhari said she was delighted to be back home after her two months rest.

Mrs Buhari said she was fully restored and was ready to continue her work, focussing on improving the health and well-being of women, children and vulnerable Nigerians.

She thanked her husband Muhammadu Buhari, well-wishers and family members for their support.

There had been rumours that Aisha Buhari left the country after Mr Buhari decided to marry a second wife.

The Minister named in the fake wedding post is currently out of the country.

The purported pre-wedding party video released was of the Minister, Sadiya Umar Farouq celebration of her new appointment with friends and family.

It was recorded on September 14 and not October 11, the day the speculators said the wedding took place.
