Following Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad's resignation due to health reasons, President Muhammadu Buhari is likely to ordain Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as the new Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) today.

According to reliable sources, Justice Ariwoola, the senior Justice of the Supreme Court, will take the oath of office at 2 p.m. today.
Justice Ariwoola, who was a Justice of the Court of Appeal before being promoted to the Supreme Court bench, was born on August 22, 1958.
