Kankara Students’ Abduction: Kidnappers Contacted Us – Gov. Masari

The Nigeria security agencies have located the position of the students abducted at Government Science Secondary School in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State, the state governor said.

Governor Bello Masari of Katsina State told President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday that the kidnappers have established contact with the government.

The President adviser Garba Shehu said in a statement that the governor disclosed this information when he visited Mr President in Daura.

“The Governor, who was accompanied by the Deputy Governor of the state, Manir Yakubu, said the kidnappers had made contact and discussions were already pertaining to safety and return to their homes.”

Masari reportedly expressed optimism that the “outlook is positive” after the knowing the location of the abducted students.

The govenor was said to have been accompanied by his deputy, Manir Yakubu.

He noted that Mr Buhari was committed to the rescue of the school children.

The 70-year-old former Speaker of the House of Representatives stated that it was only appropriate to visit the president and give him more details of rescue efforts.
