Two police officers in Kenya are nursing serious injuries after a lorry rammed into a police vehicle used as a roadblock at Thika Road on Morning night.
According to the police reports, the lorry, which had three occupants and headed to Nairobi, hit a stationary police vehicle, critically injuring the officers.
The occupants of the lorry and the driver survived the crash but sustained minor injuries. It is alleged the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

“The driver sped past the barricade and hit one of our trucks before skidding on the wet tarmac and losing control of the vehicle which then overturned and hit a rail guard,” said the local police boss Peter Mwanzo.
The injured officers were rushed to Nairobi West Hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, police were forced to remove the roadblock, and those accused of flouting curfew rules were allowed to go home.
Police mounted roadblocks on busy Nairobi roads on Monday night for the third day in a row to enforce the curfew that starts at 4 pm.
Despite the complaints from Kenyans and human rights groups like the Amnesty International Kenya and Kenya Human Rights Commission, the Nairobi Regional Commissioner James Kianda noted that the operation around the city would last longer.
“Nairobi residents should expect more going forward. It was not possible to arrest people because of the numbers, but several revellers were arrested and will appear in court,” said Kianda.
Many were stuck at various roadblocks at Thika Superhighway, Waiyaki way, Ngong, and Kangundo roads for three hours on Saturday.
