Kidnappers Forced Their Way Into Private Residence, Abduct Woman In Benin

A woman has been abducted by unknown kidnappers in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.

The victim, Irene Edenabuohien was abducted at her private residence around 15:00hrs on Thursday, 30 December 2021, at Ukhumwun around Ugbowo axis on Benin-Lagos road in Edo State.

Standard Gazette gathered that the armed men forced their way into Irene's apartment, abducted her and forced her into a standby vehicle.

The current location of the woman is unknown as the kidnappers are yet to make a demand.

The abduction has caused panic in the community as the gunmen shot sporadically forcing residents to scamper for safety.

The Edo State Police command is yet to make a statement on the incident.
