Recall that a letter was forwarded to the State Assembly requesting approval to recruit 50 hunters each for the 21 local government areas of the State.

The letter was sent to the House by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Barr. Salami Ozigi Deedat.

After reading the letter at the hallow chamber, the Speaker of the House, Rt.

Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf noted that lawmakers previously resolved it that given the security challenges in the State and the shortage of workforce, recruitment needed to occur.

In a voice vote, the Legislators unanimously approved the recruitment of 1050 hunters, adding that the Caretaker Chairmen of the Local Government would shoulder the payment of their salaries.
