The Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki joined other members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) on Saturday to condole with their counterpart Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, over the Abule Ado explosion.
The governors visited the explosion site for an on-the-spot assessment of the impact of the explosion, which claimed lives and destroyed properties worth billions of naira.
The governors were led by the NGF Chairman and Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi.
Governor Umar Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State was among the delegation.
Fayemi praised the Lagos State Governor for his prompt response to the disaster and for setting up a relief fund to help mitigate the effects of the unfortunate incident.
Fayemi announced a donation of N200 million to the Victims Relief Fund by the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.
