According to a statement released by Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos police command, the police have received intelligence that some individuals are planning to cause chaos in the state.
Hundeyin warned that any such attempts would be "crushed decisively" and emphasized that the police's election security architecture remains in place.

"Available intel suggests some people have concluded plans to foment trouble & wreak havoc," Hundeyin stated. "Kindly note that such attempts would be crushed decisively. Our election security architecture has not been drawn down. Anarchy will not be allowed! Remain law-abiding. Be guided!"
There have been concerns about potential protests over the election results following attacks in some areas of Lagos during voting on Saturday. Currently, the announcement of the results for LGAs in Lagos is ongoing at the INEC collation centre in the state.
Overall, the Lagos police command is prepared to prevent any attempts to cause unrest and has called on citizens to remain law-abiding.
