Lagos Socialite, Farida Attempt Suicide After Alleged Marital Crisis
There was tension in Ikeja, Lagos State, on Thursday when a Popular City Socialite, Mrs Farida Sobowale, nearly jumped into the Lagoon River over an alleged marital crisis.
It took the intervention of some residents to rescue Farida, who also owned the House of Phareedah Bodycare and Spa, as she attempted a suicide mission by jumping into the Lagos lagoon.
The popular Lagos socialite reportedly parked her Lexus SUV at the extension of the Third Mainland Bridge and attempted to dive into the lagoon before the good samaritans alighted from their vehicles to rescue her.
According to a viral video, the beautician and entrepreneur, who wore black attire, cried profusely as she was overpowered by some individuals who restrained her from jumping into the lagoon.
Farida broke the internet two months ago when she held a talk of the town wedding ceremony with her heart rob, Demola, in Lagos.
There are rumours that their marriage has now hit the rock and that this has greatly affected her mental health.
Unconfirmed information revealed that Sobowale’s marriage crashed a few days ago, which might have led to the suicide attempt, despite having an expensive wedding about two months ago.
The estranged husband had reportedly moved out of their home due to alleged irreconcilable differences.
