Reno Omokri, a former Media aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has warned Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami over his comment that hoodlums could be responsible for the Lekki Toll Gate shooting that killed some #EndSARS protesters.
Omomkri said he knows of a victim of the Lekki Toll Gate shooting who is willing to testify to what transpired on October 20th in Lagos.
Mr. Mallam while speaking to newsmen in Abuja said there is a possibility that the Lekki shooting of protesters was carried out by hoodlums and not soldiers, and that thorough investigation needs to be done to ascertain who shot the protesters
The AGF said; “You cannot rule out the possibility of perhaps hoodlums that set in to create a scene could equally partake in the process,”
There were global condemnations and outcry following the Lekki shooting on 20th of October where some armless and innocent #EndSARS protesters were killed by soldiers.
The Nigerian Army initiallydenied involvement, noting that the accusations were unfounded and untrue. However, the Army later stated that it’s personnel arrived at the scene upon the request from the Babajide Sanwo-Olu led government of Lagos state.
But while writing via his Twitter handle, Omokri said; “This bullet was removed TODAY from the Lungs of a peaceful, unarmed #protester. I have his name. He is ready to testify. I warn Abubakar Malami, General Muhammadu Buhari’s Attorney General, not to provoke the nation by claiming that shooters were hoodlums in fake army uniforms.”
