A former media aide to the defected reps, Pharez Okpere said he lost his job as he refused to sell his political leaders, the former governorship aspirant, Pastor Osazie Ize-Iyamu and the state PDP Chairman, Mr. Dan Orbih.

Read the excerpt below:

Sometime in late 2014, while preparing for the 2015 general elections, I was invited to a meeting by my leader Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu at his residence, the agenda of the meeting was to brief our major financier and supporter Captain Nosa Okunbor of the steps we have taken to make sure Jonathan was successful in the 2015 presidential elections in Edo State.

There were very few people invited to that meeting, I think we were about 6 core strategist, as the meeting was about to get started, captain Hosa walked in to the venue in company of Hon. EJ Agbonayinma, I was just about to start my own speech when captain walked in and by the time I finished, Hon. EJ was already waiting outside the meeting venue and we exchanged pleasantries and phone numbers… that was the start of our political relationship.

Fast forward to 2015, Jonathan had lost the election but we have put in so much, even though Jonathan won Edo State, the numbers from the North was not favourable, but then Hon. EJ Agbonayinma was declared winner for Egor and Ikpoba Okha federal constituency. After his victory, I was appointed a media aide to his Office in Abuja and we had a very smooth working relationship, until early 2016.

Hon. EJ called me to a private meeting and informed me that he has been hearing rumours of my open support for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, an allegation which I did not deny… as you all know I have a personal relationship with POI and there was no way I could ever work against his personal interest.

He made it clear that, His support was for another candidate and if I want to continue to work for him, I must support whoever he is supporting for the 2016 gubernatorial election in Edo State. I choose without hesitation to continue supporting POI even though I lost my job as a media aide to Hon. EJ in the process.

You see, POI and Chief Dan Orbih are two men that have always stood by me and they have given me a political platform to stand on, so it was quite an easy decision for me to choose POI.

Hon. EJ Agbonayinma is a man after his own heart but, I think he picked the wrong fight. It was really unnecessary….this is a story for another day.

A lot of people have sent me messages today seeking to know my stand on the DEFECTION of Hon. EJ AGBONAYINMA.

Well if you must know…I stand with the PDP, I stand with POI and I will continue to stand with Chief Dan Osi Orbih.

I want to Wish Hon. EJ AGBONAYINMA the best of luck in his political Journey.
