Dr. Ezekwesili in a series of tweets on Friday, wondered how Magu was nominated by the President, if the reports that led to his rejection at the senate was earlier accessed by Buhari.

The BBOG co-founder also queried the reason behind Buhari’s decision to nominate him if he truly received the Department of State Services (DSS)’s two months ago.

Dr. Ezekwesili said ” The non-confirmation of Ibrahim Magu as Chair of Economic and Financial Commission (EFCC) based on “DSS report” raises questions for President Buhari on the Anti-Corruption war.

“Was Buhari not given the “DSS Security Report on Magu  Nominee by an Agency(DSS) he supervises?

“If Buhari was privy to the DSS security report written some 2 months ago, what decision did he make about his nominee?

“Was it that Buhari internationally did nothing regarding  Magu nominee after reading the report? Why so?

“Was the inaction of Buhari on DSS report calculated? Shied from withdrawing Nomination and gave nod to non-Confirmation?

“Whatever be the many sub-plots and intrigues around Magu Non-Confirmation saga Buhari’s Anti-Corruption war has a credibility problem”

She urged Buhari to tell Nigerians the truth concerning the ignored DSS report so as to further boost the confidence of the people.

“President Buhari alone can clarify what has gone wrong with the Anti-Corruption war and begin to rebuild public confidence again.

“The President can start that clarification to the Public by telling us the truth on what he KNOWS and thinks of the report on Magu’s nominee

“Every serious Anti-Corruption war must have Public Confidence. Right now, there is a crisis of confidence for Buhari Anti-Corruption war.

“President Buhari has a duty to tell his Citizens the truth. The facts of his Nomination and Nigerian Senate’s rejection of Ibrahim Magu.” she concluded.

Magu’s rejection has attracted mixed responses from pro and anti Buhari administration. The rejection has buttressed the opposition’s complains that Buhari is sentimental on his anti-graft war.

Many relate with the Senate’s decision due to the numerous unlawful incidents that have been attributed to Magu as the acting chairman of the commission.
