After allegedly setting his wife, Risikat, on fire at their home on Ayide Osolo Street in Divine Estate in the Ijanikin neighborhood of Lagos State, a guy only known as Akpos is on the run.
An dispute broke out between Akpos and Risikat while they were at their home.
According to reports, the fight erupted, and in his rage, Akpos poured gasoline on his wife and set her flames.

Akpos is alleged to have fled the scene after committing the murder and left the woman for dead.
As the incident was being reported at the Ijanikin Police Station for inquiry, some good Samaritans reportedly transported the man to a local hospital for treatment.
Risikat had significant burns, according to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police public relations officer, who also added that she passed away while receiving medical attention in the hospital.
According to him, “A case was reported at the Ijanikin Police Station that a woman, Risikat, 48, allegedly had an altercation with her husband and in the process, he poured petrol on his wife and set her ablaze.
“It resulted in serious bodily burns and she was immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment but she died. Efforts are on to arrest the fleeing husband.”
