Man Kills Elder Brother Over N12m 'Yahoo' Proceed

In Ughoton, Warri, Delta state, a man named Sammie is accused of killing his elder brother, Abraham a.k.a MK Amani, over a N12 million fraud case.

According to reports, the siblings, who share the same father but separate mothers, were involved in internet fraud, and MK told Sammie that a 'customer' owed him N12 million.

He allegedly told him all of the details of the transactions and informed him that when the money arrived, he and his family would be relocating to Lekki, Lagos.

"Mk told Sammie everything about the money because he was his younger brother and he believed they had brotherly affection for each other," a source said. Sammie, unbeknownst to him, was envious and jealous of him."

On Saturday, December 11, Sammie allegedly took his brother to the Ughoton River and attempted to drown him, but MK's babymama, who was in the car at the time, witnessed the incident and raised the alarm.

People apparently dived into the water to save him, but the suspect and two of his buddies pushed him into a tricycle, ostensibly to take him to the hospital, but instead stabbed him in the neck.

He was proven dead on arrival, according to sources, and the key suspects have yet to be located.

"Sammie and his two accomplices are on the run right now. Their father is thought to be hiding Sammie because he can't lose two sons at the same time, according to the source.

Meanwhile, the state police command's spokeswoman has yet to remark on the incident.
