Azeez Ilias, 37, the son of a traditional ruler in Ogun State’s Ipokia Local Government Area, and Deborah, a woman, have been found dead in a car parked in front of a structure in Ago Egun, Idiroko.
While they were discovered naked, their clothes were not recovered in Ilias’ Toyota Camry.
According to sources, the deceased man’s clothes were discovered in a gutter in front of a property believed to be the female victim’s home.
The bodies were discovered around 2 a.m. on Monday, according to the Idiroko divisional headquarters of the Ogun State Government-owned indigenous security outfit, So-Safe Corps, which confirmed the incident on Tuesday.
The find was uncovered during a normal motorized patrol, according to the corps’ spokesman, Moruf Yusuf.
He said his officers discovered the two dead in the ash-colored Toyota Camry with the license plate LND 223 BV, lifeless and nude.
“The robust relationship between the So-Safe Corps and the Ogun State Police Command yielded a wonderful result,” he said. “As approached, the So-Safe Corps, a state agency, and the Idiroko Police Divisional Headquarters jointly smelt a car parked to be suspicious and found two bodies lying lifeless in the car.”©Standard Gazette, 2021.
