The grannies were set ablaze on Sunday following claims that they bewitched a secondary school student.

When the locals realized what had transpired, they took the law into their own hands and stormed into the victims’ homes.

According to the enraged residents, the student, who had been sick, was allegedly kidnapped the night before the incident and found unconscious on the route to his residence.

The locals further claimed the student had previously been bewitched and victimized.

Four suspects alleged to have spearheaded the killings have been arrested.

Angwenyi asked the police to act quickly and arrest the remaining suspects.
