Mummy G.O. was detained for giving Adamawa kidnappers information about church members

Ruth Kenneth, a 37-year-old female preacher, was detained for reportedly giving kidnappers in Adamawa state information on members of her congregation.

The mother of seven is said to be a self-described “prayer warrior” who offers advice to others who are ill and struggling spiritually. Her chats with kidnappers, who threatened to kidnap one of her patients if a ransom of N10 million was not paid, were monitored by the police, who then arrested her.

One of her victims, who was visiting her prayer house on Numan Road in Yola, the state capital, with an unexplained illness, according to Adamawa police command SP Suleiman Nguroje, who confirmed the event in a statement.

She stated that after praying, it became clear to her that kidnappers were chasing him.
