Nigeria Troops Kill 20 Boko Haram Members, Seize Weapons

Nigeria military says his troop of 28 Task Force Brigade of Sector 1 Operation Laifya Dole have dealt a huge blow on members of the Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram.

The statement by the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations 7 Division Maiduguri said Boko Haram terrorist suffered heavy casualties.

The troop killed the 20 terrorists after they attempted to attack Askira Uba in Borno State.

The PRO said the suspected terrorist came from Sambisa Forest – a den of Boko Haram members, with over 15 gun trucks.

The terrorists reportedly approached the town from different directions simultaneously.

The terrorist groups suffered huge losses both in men, materials and equipment, the military spokesperson said.

The Air Task Force that supported the foot soldiers destroyed additional gun trucks.

The daredevil troops recovered three boxer motorcycles, three anti-aircraft guns, two PKT Machine guns, ten AK 47 Riffles, thirteen Rocket-propelled grenades, PRG bombs, a large cache of ammunition and other weapons.

The group suffered a casualty while two others were wounded during the gun duel. They are currently responding to treatment.
