Video: Nigerian Police arrest 3 men with 20 corpses in Edo State

Three suspected ritualists have been arrested after Nigerian police caught them with twenty corpses.

Chimaobi Okoewe and Oko Samuel - from Afikpo in Ebonyi State and Gideon Sunday - from Akwa Ibom were caught with dead people in their hideout around Asoro Slope on Upper Ekewan Road in Benin City, Edo State.

Three of the twenty corpses recovered are females, 15 males and two children.

The corpses had dried up at the time they were found.

According to the report, the corpses are meant for ritual purposes.

Edo state commissioner of police, CP Abutu Yaro, who commended the police team that unravelled the crime assured that a wider investigation would be opened into the incident.

As of press time, all the corpses remain unidentified.
