The Edo State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Emmanuel Ademokun, has attributed the increase in the price of fuel to the division in the labour union.

Ademokun who stated this in Benin at the 40th-anniversary celebration of the union said if NLC was still one and the petroleum sector did not back out of the struggle against fuel increase, they would have brought an end to the increase in pump price by the Federal Government.

He said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand. We know that the major union in that field is an affiliate of NLC, but they are not part of the struggle now. To us in NLC, we are asking other affiliates who had left to come back so that we can face the issue together to avert another increase.

The division is really affecting the struggle.
