There is no police station linked to any Chinese nationality in Edo State; Nigerian police have rebuffed a publication making rounds.

According to the Edo State police command, the report is “false and untrue.”

According to a statement by the police commissioner, CP Abutu Yaro, via Jennifer Iwegbu, the Assistant Police Public Relations Officer, the force condemned the false report and called for caution.

The statement made available to Standard Gazette correspondent, Festus Alenkhe, said cyberspace was created to share ideas on how to make the world a better place and not to create panic or unrest, as exemplified by some media.

Edo State Police Command frowned at this development and maintained that Nigeria is a sovereign Nation established by law, and no other nation can establish a base of any form with due process as enshrined in the existing laws of the land.

The Command, therefore, urged the general public, particularly the good people of Edo State, to disregard the misleading report by the desperate reporters and their media outfits.

The Command also reassured the good citizenry of Edo state of its commitment towards ensuring a peaceful state for all as they go about their daily legitimate business(es)
