The Deputy Governor, Edo State, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, in the Early hours of Wednesday, lost his mother, Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa.
Following the sad development, Notable personalities, including APC members and friends, have been visiting Rt. Hon. Idahosa at his residence, GRA. Benin City.
The residence of the Deputy Governor, along Ugbor village Road, GRA Benin, witnessed a crowd of people from across the political divide, including leaders of the All Progressives Congress who visited to condole with him on the Demise of his mother at the age of 95.
Among the first callers were the former Deputy Governor, Edo State, Rt Hon. Philip Shaibu, the Chief Medical Director, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, serving and former members of the state house of Assembly.
In their condolences with the Idahosa family, the visitors described late Madam Easter Idahosa as a woman of wisdom, strength of character, eulogised her impactful nature and prayed for her peaceful rest.

Commenting on the Demise of his mum, the Deputy Governor, Rt Hon. Dennis Idahosa, says he’s saddened by the development but takes solace in the fact that his late mother lived an impactful life.
He said details of the funeral arrangements will be announced later.
A condolence register has since been opened in her honour at the residence of the Deputy Governor, Rt Hon. Dennis Idahosa, GRA, Benin City.
