Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has approved the appointment of 7 new Commissioner nominees and a Special Adviser and has forwarded same to the Edo State House of Assembly for approval. The statement was contained in a letter dated 13th January, 2022, released from the office of the Secretary to the Government and received by The Standard Gazette.
The Commissioner-nominees are; Chris Nehikhare, Omololu Ojehomo O., Braimoh Afie, Stephen Idenhenre, Osasere Evbuomwan, Donald Okogbe, Bamidele Obaitan.
The only Special Adviser in the list is Lady Uwa Osunbor who has been appointed as SA on Politics.
The statement also confirms that the appointment of the Special Adviser is with immediate effect, while those of Commissioner-nominees is subject to screening by the the legislators.
