Gov. Okpebholo Presents 2026 Appropriation Bill Of Nine Hundred And Thirty Nine Billion, Eight Hundred And Fifty Million Naira Before EDHA

The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has presented the 2026 Appropriation Bill and Budget Estimates of Nine Hundred And Thirty Nine Billion, Eight Hundred And Fifty Million Naira for the consideration and approval of the Edo State House of Assembly.

The budget estimates tagged “Hope and Growth” aim to consolidate on the gains recorded in the past year and enable the Governor to consolidate on more developmental projects across the state.

Presenting the proposed 2026 Budget of Hope and Growth estimates, Gov. Okpebholo said the appropriation bill seeks to expand his administration’s reach and restore the hope of Edo people in governance.

He noted that the budget estimates propose a total expenditure of nine hundred and thirty-nine billion, eight hundred and fifty million naira.

“The proposal has a capital expenditure of six hundred and thirty seven billion naira representing 68% and a recurrent expenditure of three hundred and two billion naira  representing 32% “

The 2026 Budget estimates, according to Gov. Okpebholo, are to be funded through Internally Generated Revenue of one hundred and sixty billion naira.
