The Olubadan, Oba Odulana Odugade has faulted Jonathan's visit to the Alaafin saying that it's selective and capable of destroying the peace and bringing Ibadan Chieftain institution to disrepute

Jonathan meets with AliyuHe disclosed this in a statement signed by the Secretary of the Oyo State Council of Obas. He said that Jonathan, accompanied by the Governor, Abiola Ajimobi breached the protocol by visiting him first as the chairman of the council while members of the council awaited his arrival, and then went to Alaafin of Oyo's place, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III

In his interpretation, Governor Ajimobi still recognizes the Alaafin of Oyo as the permanent chairman of the Oyo Council of Obas and Chiefs which is contrary to the Chieftaincy Law as amended in 2011 in Cap 37 of the Oyo State Laws, 2000, which says that the Chairmanship should be rotated among the Alaafin, the Olubadan and Soun of Ogbomoso every two years.

He advised the President Jonathan and the Governor to "stop from misleading behaviour that can endanger the peace in the state"
