Ondo Catholic Church Shooting, What We Know So Far

Unknown gunmen opened fire on Catholic worshippers in a church in Owo, Ondo State, on Sunday, June 5, leaving several dead and others gravely wounded.

The horrific shooting happened during a service at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Owo, according to reports.

The horrific state of the dead around the church building in the aftermath of the shooting is shown in social media clips.

Reports indicate that about 15 persons lost their lives while a dozen more were injured. According to sources, the attack on the church was carried out by Fulani herdsmen.

The injured are currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo.
