The recent killings of security personnel, targeted ethnic groups especially those of Hausa/Fulani origin, and last Monday’s jail break in Owerri are only the beginning of woes. Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB are pursuing a cause that will soon become a curse.
The proliferation of arms will also make it possible for armed robbery and kidnapping to rise exponentially.
If you support this man, you just have to go to the South East and enjoy the paradise he promised you. The Niger Delta militants were strategic in their demands but you see, Nnamdi Kanu and his ESN is a disaster waiting to happen. By the time people realize how unnecessary and destructive his tactics were, blood would have flown like a river, tears would have streamed like a flood and destinies shattered.
Agreed that the seemingly biased, and slow intervention of Buhari’s administration in the handling of violence perpetrated by herdsmen and the insensitivity of the Federal government over appointments has raised more concerns about the oneness of Nigeria. However, we should be worry of a Displacement Effect going by Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB strategy of emancipation of Biafra land for Igbo people.
Human nature is weak, greedy, agitative, unreasonable. Except it is controlled by wisdom from above, it will fail to bring peace and prosperity. It will be a curse rather than a blessing. The promised Messiah did not spread Christianity on the foundation of blood throughout the world, but this Ndigbo ‘Messaiah’, is not like the resurrected one.
If Nnamdi Kanu promises you a Biafra of peace on the platform of blood, you can expect a terrible, violent kingdom that will make even Hitler to marvel in his grave. God forbid, may it never happen.
