Peter Obi, the Labour Party's nominee for president, had a resounding welcome on Friday during the Holy Ghost Service of the Redeemed Christian Church of God's 70th convention.
The former governor of Anambra State attended the convention's fifth day at the global headquarters of RCCG along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The "Perfect Jubilee"-themed program kicked off on August 8 and will run until August 14, 2022. At the event the church General Overseer noted that he would pray for Peter Obi the same way he does for any other politician by just saying, "Father, let your will be done in His life."
The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria's President, Bishop Francis Wale-Oke, the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, and the governor of Ogun State's wife, Bamidele Abiodun, among others, were among the dignitaries who were introduced with Obi.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the RCCG, had stated in April that although God had not spoken to him on the upcoming election, he would pray for any candidate who requested prayers.©Standard Gazette, 2021.
