This was, at the end of the meeting disclosed by the Chairman and former Minister of Spcial Duties, Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN who spoke on behalf of the former Ministers Forum.

The Ministers expressed total satisfaction on the Committee and pledged their unalloyed loyalty to the Party, the PDP and the Caretaker Committee.

Turaki also condemned the outcome of the just concluded Edo State Guber election and accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of colluding with the ruling Party in the state to rig the election in favour of the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Godwin Obaseki. They called on the Election Petition Tribunal to right the wrongs in the election.

The party reiterated the call for the postponement of the Saturday, November 26, 2016 Guber election in Ondo state by a minimum of 3 weeks to allow enough time for the Appeal and Supreme Courts to sort out all the issues pending at the court.

“As a major stakeholder in the election in Ondo state and as one of the major contender in the forthcoming election, it will be unfair for INEC to go ahead with the scheduled election without fielding the right Candidate for the PDP.”

The Party again reiterated that the only PDP Candidate whose primary was monitored by INEC and conducted in Ondo state inline with the Constitution and Electoral Act is Hon. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, not Barr. Jimoh Ibrahim.
