Edo State Police Command has arrested a total of 320 suspects alleged to have engaged in various criminal activities between April 11 and June 16, 2021
The SUSPECTS were arrested in their various Criminal HIDEOUTS across Edo state.
Out of the 320 suspects arrested so far by the police, 120 have been charged to court and facing prosecution, a few others died during a gun duel with the police, while others are now facing further investigation.

According to standard Gazette crime correspondent Festus Alenkhe, the suspects were alleged to have engaged in armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism, rape, murder, drug trafficking and unlawful possession of firearms.
Three of the suspects were also arrested by the police for drug trafficking.
They had arranged with courier personnel operating within Benin city to transport items suspected to be hard drugs.
The police on a routine patrol intercepted the courier motorcycle, and the suspects were arrested and drugs seized.
The courier personnel was arrested on the spot where he took the police to arrest two members of his syndicate.
Also, over 50 SUSPECTED members of various secret cult groups were arrested.
One of the suspects said, “I was initiated into secret cult group in 2018.
I regret joining as l have not gained anything but always fighting with guns and other dangerous weapons”.
Commenting, Edo state Commissioner of Police, CP Philip Ogbadu, warned those with Criminal elements to relocate from Edo state.
According to the Edo police boss, “Policing is a joint effort.
The people of Edo state must continue to collaborate with us to send Criminals to where they belong.”
