Police arrest five men vandalising Lagos Electricity Board

The Nigerian Police have arrested five males on suspicion of vandalism.

The suspects, Emmanuel Ajikula, 29, Athanisus Lornumber, 28, Titus Akuba, 18, Felix Lornumbe, 27, and Ukah Gabriel ‘m’, aged 29, were arrested in the act on Monday, April 24 2023.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, anipr, mipra, Police Public Relations Officer Lagos State Command, Ikeja, said the arrest was made possible following credible intelligence on the suspicious movement of some hoodlums in the area.

The suspects were vandalizing the Lagos State Electricity Board cable mounted around 7-Up Bottling Company, Alausa area of Lagos State.

Tools and vandalized cables were recovered from the suspects.

The police have transferred the gang to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution.
